These Terms of Service are an agreement between you (the dental practice or individual using the service) and TreatPath Inc., a Delaware corporation ("TreatPath," "we," "us"). You accept these Terms by checking the acceptance box when creating an account or activating a practice; the person activating on behalf of a practice represents that they have authority to bind that practice, and TreatPath records the version accepted and the date of acceptance. Continuing to access or use the TreatPath application at app.gettreatpath.com or the website at gettreatpath.com also constitutes agreement to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use TreatPath.
TreatPath is a hosted web application that assists dental practices in presenting treatment plans to patients. Nothing is installed: staff use it in a browser and patients review plans on an iPad. The service includes AI-assisted reading of treatment plans, behavioral presentation styles, an iPad patient view, per-person staff sign-in, and a staff dashboard with analytics.
TreatPath is offered on a subscription basis. By subscribing you agree to pay the applicable fees for your selected plan. Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time and retain access through the end of your current billing period.
Payment. Fees are charged to the card on file at the start of each monthly billing period through our payment processor, Stripe. TreatPath does not store card numbers. Trial or promotional access granted by access code carries no charge and no automatic conversion; a paid subscription begins only when you complete checkout.
Failed payments. If a charge fails, we will retry the card and notify you. The service remains available for a grace period of 7 days, after which access is limited to read-only (existing plans remain viewable and exportable; creating or editing plans is suspended) until payment succeeds. Data is not deleted because of a failed payment.
Cancellation and refunds. You may cancel at any time from your portal (Billing → Manage billing). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then. Fees for a billing period already begun are non-refundable and are not prorated, except where required by law or where we determine a charge was made in error.
Price changes. We may change subscription fees on at least 30 days' notice to the email on your account. Continued use after the new fee takes effect constitutes acceptance; you may cancel before then without charge.
TreatPath is licensed for use by licensed dental practices only. You may not:
TreatPath stores and processes patient data on your practice's behalf and therefore acts as a business associate under HIPAA. A signed Business Associate Agreement is required before you use TreatPath with protected health information. You remain the covered entity and are responsible for your own compliance obligations, for the security of the devices your staff use, and for controlling who at your practice has access. TreatPath uses Anthropic's Claude API for OCR processing. By using TreatPath's image upload feature you acknowledge that screenshot images are transmitted to Anthropic for processing. You are responsible for ensuring this use is consistent with your practice's data handling policies.
TreatPath is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated procedure translations will be 100% accurate. Staff should review all AI-generated content before presenting to patients.
TreatPath's liability to you for any cause whatsoever shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the software in the 12 months preceding the claim. TreatPath is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the software.
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination your right to use TreatPath ends. Your practice's plan data remains available for export for 30 days after termination, and will be deleted on your instruction or at the end of that period.
